We are delighted that a number of our partners have been recognised in this year's Virgin Holidays Responsible Travel Awards.  Founded in 2004 to show what responsible tourism can achieve and reward industry leaders, they have become the largest and most respected awards of their kind.

We would like to congratulate Climate Care’s partners that were recognized by the Awards:

• Greentomatocars – Highly Commended, Low Carbon Transport and Technology.  London’s first and biggest environmentally friendly taxi service.  They use a fleet of efficient Toyota Prius's, and then offset double the unavoidable emissions. With sustainability at the top of their minds, they’ve succeeded in bringing a low-carbon solution into a mainstream service industry.  
• Quest - Highly Commended, Best Volunteering Organisation.  Quest offset their office energy, staff air travel and offer their customers the option to offset theirs.
• Radisson SAS, Edinburgh - Highly Commended, Best Big Hotel category.  The hotel employed Alexandra Hammond specifically to improve environmental performance – work on lighting and the ventilation system has made impressive cuts in emissions (and financial savings).  They offset 53kg CO₂ per person per day attending their conferences, to ensure that the emissions for the event are covered.  The Radisson SAS chain is now looking into the possibility of extending this scheme to other hotels in the chain.
• Charity Challenge – Highly Commended, Best for Poverty Reduction category.  Charity Challenge includes the cost to offset the flight in the price of their trips and gives their customers plenty of information about the offset on their site – a highly carbon responsible approach.
• Apex Hotels - Winner, Best Big Hotel award.  They provide a Climate Care carbon calculator for their visitors who have flown to the hotel to help them to offset their emissions and will help customers offset events if they request it.
• KE Adventure Travel – Highly Commended,  Best Tour Operator.  Recently partnered with Climate Care to offer its customers the option to offset their travel through an embedded calculator on their site.
